Literatursammlung GBM IV

Hallo,

wie bekannt habe ich am Dienstag meinen Schwiegervater durch ein GBM IV verloren. Ich möchte auf diesem Weg meine Literaturliste zur Verfügung stellen. Es ist eine gepackte HTML-Datei. Einen Teil der Artikel habe ich, kann ich auch auf Nachfrage hier im Forum zur Verfügung stellen.

Mit einem GBM IV - als Betroffene(r) oder Interessierter oder Angehöriger - sollte man sich diese umfangreiche Literaturliste unbedingt ansehen.

Ich konnte in keinem anderen Thread schreiben, aber wollte es dennoch reinstellen, könnte ja von Interesse sein. Es kann auch gern von jemand anderes verlinkt werden.

kurze Zusammenfassung:

In der Studie der Firma Celldex Therapeutics Inc. Wurden 73 Patienten untersucht, bei denen ein Glioblastomrezidiv aufgetreten ist. 30 % von denen, diedas Medikament Rintega der Fa. Celldex zusammen mit Avastin von Roche bekommen hatten lebten nach 18 Monaten noch (Vergleich: 15 %, die nur Avastin bekamen). Die beschleunigte Zulassung soll beantragt werden.
Rintega gehört zu einer jungen Medikamentenklasse, die das Immunsystem anregen Krebs zu erkennen und zu bekämpfen. Es zielt auf Tumoren, die eine genetische Mutation tragen, die bei einen Drittel aller Glioblastomfälle gefunden wurde (EGFRvIII). Der Impfstoff ist verbunden mit einer deutlichen Verringerung der Notwendigkeit der Gabe von Steroiden.

Martinsried/Munich, 20 April, 2015. Medigene AG (MDG1, Frankfurt, Prime Standard) announces that early clinical data of its dendritic cell (DC) vaccines were presented today at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, USA. The clinical data were collected in an ongoing compassionate use program[1] conducted at the Department of Cellular Therapy at the Oslo University Hospital, Norway, under the responsibility of Prof. Gunnar Kvalheim. The poster presentation titled "A new generation of dendritic cells to improve cancer therapy shows prolonged progression free survival in patients with solid tumors" provides data from patients with various types of tumour which were included in this program.

In summary, one lung cancer patient, one prostate cancer patient, four glioblastoma patients and three acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) patients have started treatment with dendritic cells so far. The new generation of dendritic cells characterized by superior in-vitro functionality when compared to commonly used dendritic cells could be produced from cells of all patients, regardless of the type of malignancy. The included patients suffering from solid tumours clearly showed a longer progression free survival than could be expected according to the stage of their disease, except for the patient with prostate cancer, who due to personal reasons prematurely dropped out of the program. The three AML patients which were included in this dendritic cell compassionate use program have been showing a promising course of disease, however these cases are still too early for evaluation.

Conclusion of this evaluation by Prof. Gunnar Kvalheim, Head of Department of Cellular Therapy, Oslo University Hospital: "Solid tumour patients suffering from advanced disease treated with these DC vaccines have a prolonged progression free survival, showing that this immunotherapeutic approach will be a promising alternative to current standard therapies."

HAMPTON, N.J. , March 07, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CLDX) today announced that the independent Data Safety and Monitoring Board (DSMB) has determined, based on a preplanned interim analysis, that continuation of the Phase 3 ACT IV study of RINTEGA® (rindopepimut) in patients with newly diagnosed EGFRvIII-positive glioblastoma will not reach statistical significance for overall survival in patients with minimal residual disease, the primary endpoint of the study, as both the RINTEGA arm and the control arm are performing on par with each other. In the ACT IV study, RINTEGA has performed consistently with prior  Phase 2 studies but the control arm has significantly outperformed expectations (Hazard ratio = 0.99; median OS: RINTEGA 20.4 months vs. control 21.1 months). Based on this recommendation, Celldex is discontinuing the study and does not anticipate incurring substantial additional costs related to RINTEGA at this time. All patients on the RINTEGA arm of the ACT IV study, prior Phase 2 studies and existing compassionate use recipients will be offered ongoing access to RINTEGA on a compassionate use basis. Celldex first received the data after market close on Friday, March 4th and is in the process of reviewing the results.
